Solar water and sewage treatment

We plan, build and supply solar-powered systems for the drinking water purification, desalination of seawater and sewage treatment (sludge drying).

Solar drinking water purification systems with UV sterilisation

For the applicaton in hospitals we developed plant concepts for the grid-independent, photovoltaic drinking water purification based on UV sterilisation with prefiltration.

Desalination with solar water distillation

Some regions obtain drinking water from seawater and / or attribute a great potential to the desalination of seawater. This kind of drinking water abstraction is very energy-intensive. Our plants connect technologies such as reverse osmosis or filtration with renewable energies such as wind and solar energy.

Solar sewage treatment plants
With the help of an appropriate photo catalyst sunlight can be used to destroy organic sewage ingredients. The principle of the photocatalysis is simple: light leads to the formation of charged carriers in a semiconducting photo catalyst. Organic pollutants react at the surface of the catalyst with these charge carriers and oxygen. They get oxidised into carbon dioxide, water and, if applicable, mineral acids.

In contrast to established chemical oxidation procedures in the sewage treatment, this method gets along with few chemicals. Except for the photo catalyst from titanium dioxide suspended in the sewage and the solved oxygen, no further chemicals are needed. The chemical reaction is activated only by solar radiation.

Solar sewage sludge treatment

The disposal of sewage sludge is expensive and becomes increasingly more difficult. Transportation- and disposal costs can be saved by the mass reduction with the drying process.

We use the energy of the sun to dry sewage sludges.

Waste management

Waste presses reduce the volume of waste, which leads to cost savings in the case of transport and with the storage.

For the Caribbean market we supply established low-priced hydraulic compact presses (small presses, multi-chamber presses, compactors, horizontal balers and barrel presses) with a compaction force of 4-80 tons and a baling weight of 30-700 kg.
